A Sweet Spring Saturday at Lavender Lake

May 3, 2025

A sunny Saturday afternoon of meaningful conversation, sweet treats and new connections at Lavender Lake in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

A Cozy Spring Gathering in Williamsburg

On Saturday, May 3rd, from 2–5 PM, we hosted an intimate and inspiring afternoon at the charming Lavender Lake in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. With the sun shining and spring in full bloom, the beautiful indoor-outdoor space—with its ample seating, warm ambiance and relaxed vibe—set the perfect tone for a cozy gathering focused on meaningful connection.

An Intimate Circle of Adventurous Souls

We welcomed a small but mighty group of four attendees, and together we shared stories, laughs, and fresh perspectives over our shared love of travel. Using thoughtful conversation cards as our guide, we explored topics ranging from our favorite destinations to the ways travel has shaped our lives.

One guest, who had just moved to New York this year from Minnesota—originally hailing from Chicago—brought a fresh and inspiring perspective to the group, highlighting how every move and pivot in life brings us closer to growth.

Deep Conversations on Growth, Risk & Fearlessness

The afternoon overflowed with positive energy and open-hearted dialogue. We touched on the beauty of taking risks, the challenges and rewards of pivoting, and the courage it takes to remain fearless in pursuit of our goals. We also shared favorite destinations for rest and relaxation, adding even more layers to the conversation.

Sweet Treats from a Local Favorite

Though attendees purchased their own food and drinks from Lavender Lake’s stellar menu, we treated them with a complimentary dessert spread from local gem Martha’s Country Bakery. On the table were:

  • Red velvet cake pops

  • Oreo cake pops

  • Classic cannolis

  • Vegan chocolate chip cookies

  • Tres leches cake

Each dessert added a sweet touch to our already meaningful time together.

A Thoughtful Send-Off

To wrap up the event, each guest received an adorable teddy tote bag as a thank-you—a small but heartfelt gesture to remember the day by. It was the perfect ending to an afternoon filled with sunshine, vulnerability, laughter and authentic connection.

Until Next Time …

We left Lavender Lake feeling lighter, more connected and inspired to keep showing up for ourselves and each other. Here’s to more soulful Saturdays, new friendships and spaces that spark joy and growth.
